Frank van Keeken

Big Guy

Frank founded Beachwood Canyon Productions after years of creating award winning television for other excellent production companies. He created and Exec-Produced Wingin’ It, Lost and Found Music Studios, The Next Step, and My Perfect Landing. Frank has writing credits that include: Kids in the Hall, Mad About You, Raising Dad and with over 350 half-hours of television created and Executive Produced, Frank is one of the top global creators of Tween Television. His shows have won several Children’s BAFTAs, CSAs, and Shaw Rocket Prizes. Previously he worked as an improviser, stand-up comic, and as an actor in Los Angeles.

Yolanda Yott

Development/Executive Producer

Yolanda met Frank years ago in the greenroom of a comedy club (long story…), and she joined The Canyon in 2018 as an Executive Producer and Development Executive. Yolanda comes from a creative background having worked as a puppeteer, writer, stand-up comic, and creative producer. Starting her production career at Nelvana, she has been on many adventures, including touring a live puppet show across California, running a couple of small businesses, and producing content. All this makes her able to juggle the demands of production, and see each project from both a business and creative strength. She has a wicked sense of humor, and is incapable of sitting still for more than 9.8 minutes.

Kelly Chmilar

Producer/Whatever

Kelly Chmilar has been with Beachwood Canyon Productions since February 2016, but has worked on Frank’s Productions since 2013. Kelly started a career in Television production as an intern with The Ellen DeGeneres Show which they will tell you over and over again. Kelly has worn many hats since 2012, but has decided that the Producer Hat fits best. Within The Canyon, Kelly is a bit of a human Swiss Army Knife, and thoroughly enjoys finding solutions to anything that comes up with production and office management.

Jill Lefaive

Editor

Jill Lefaive is an award winning filmmaker and editor. With a background in independent video production, she brings a hardy do-it-all skillset to The Canyon. Her strong sense of story, character, and her 'indie experience', make Jill the perfect fit for our in-house short form content.

Spencer Hahn

Post Production Supervisor/Independent Producer

Spencer serves as The Canyon's post production supervisor. Spencer keeps the team on track, creating fresh and engaging content for the world stage. He has worked on countless television shows and movies, both in a post-super capacity and as a producer.

Sam Ellens

First Assistant Editor

Knower of obscure trivia and a technical wizard, Sam Ellens is a sponge for knowledge. Try as we might, he’s not easily stumped. His comfort and depth of experience in the world of both offline and online editing, makes him unsurpassed in the world of post production.
